After the events of Storm Ciara, the steel framework for the Olivers' new factory and office buildings is finally visible and it is beginning to feel very real.
Global industrial valves manufacturer Olivers' has bought three units comprising 17,387 sq. ft, further extending the company’s significant presence in the wider Parkgate Industrial Estate. The company will use the facilities to expand its instrumentation, subsea and pipeline valves product range.
Olivers' chairman, Dr Michael Oliver OBE DL, said: “We have been present on Parkgate Industrial Estate for more than 40 years and Novus provided the perfect opportunity for us to buy a Grade A industrial facility and ensure our long-term growth plans were catered for. We look forward to seeing the development progress over the next few months.”
The development commenced on the 10th February 2020 in the midst of Storm Ciara, with the steel framework being the first thing put in place for the build of the new factories. A couple of days later, after the storm passed, the development was able to begin the steel framework using the crane to lift the steel with ease, even with the danger of heavy wind.
The valve manufacturer currently owns eight buildings on the Parkgate Industrial Estate and with the expansion of 3 more spacious factories and offices, the global business doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.
With the roof and wall cladding following suit shortly after completion of the framework, the completion date of September this year will be easily achieved.
